The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m still reading Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas, it’s taking me longer and longer to read paperbacks recently as I can only read a few pages at a time before I have to give in for a few days. I’ll finish it in the next few weeks though I should think.
I started reading The Novice (The Summoner Book 1) by Taran Matharu a few days ago, I’m only 50 pages in to the book and already I’m wishing I didn’t start it which is either something to do with the book itself or to do with me. It’s had loads of good reviews but I find myself rolling my eyes occasionally.
I also started reading Affliction by River Savage at last, it’s been staring at me for a while. It’s a little bit slow going for me and so far I’m not clicking with the lead female character but I’m only a short way in. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt but if she doesn’t improve as a character and my like of her doesn’t increase I might have to abandon.
I’m also reading Locked In by Kerry Wilkinson. It probably isn’t a clever idea to be reading a thriller/crime novel late at night when I have difficulty sleeping but hey no one ever said logic was perfect.
I’m still reading Circus of the Damned by Laurell K. Hamilton also.
I recently finished reading Sterling by Dannika Dark and was that a hard book to read. It was very jumpy and felt like it was quite rushed; the idea of it was a good but I don’t think it was executed to the level it could have been. The main characters were actually quite annoying which isn’t something I like.
I also finished Big Bad Bear by Terry Bolryder. That was hard to finish, it had insta-love and really quick sex during a bad situation which I’m not a huge fan of, not a fan of insta-love at all – I believe a good romance needs to have a bit of a build up to the relationship not 4 chapters in cause that throws up red flags for me.
Last but by no means least was Lucifer’s Rogue: The Vampire Voss by Colleen Gleason. I’m a fan of Colleen’s work and really enjoyed her Victoria Gardella Vampire Hunter series and I was looking forward to another book on this same level. I wasn’t disappointed which when I consider my disappointment in Sterling and Big Bad Bear it was the saving grace of my books this week.
It had the right balance between drama and romance and the ending had a very lovely twist to it which I felt was quite unusual.
The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward has been sitting on the top of my TBR shelf for quite a while now, I may read it but my only dislike is that because it was released this year it means I have to wait another year for the next one and I’m not very patient 🙂
Archangel’s Enigma by Nalini singh was released on the 3rd September and I so badly want to read Nassir and Andromeda’s story but again I’m not very patient when it comes to waiting.
